About Us
Mon Media is owned and operated by Monica Haynes, an award-winning journalist, who spent more then two decades as a staff writer for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. While there, she covered a number of major stories including September 11, Hurricane Katrina, Super Bowl XL and the 2008 Presidental Election.
Ms. Haynes also helped create the PG's wildly popular entertainment column "The Good The Bad & The Beautiful".
Since 2009, she has been working as a freelance writer, winning a Golden Quill for a story in "h" Magazine on funding for individual artists.
Mon Media was formed to help smaller arts and non-profit groups which do not have big budgets but still deserve expert media services.
